Wafer Carrier

Wafer Carrier’s

Silicon wafer carriers are built from as small as 2 inches to as large 12 inches. We have made many customer specific designs with a variety of slot sizes, slot profiles and slot angles. Carriers have as little as 10 slot or several hundred depending on your specific need. All carriers have been manufactured to ensure no wafer will not stick or bind when robotic loaders systems are used. Some carriers are designed to handle high heat application 1000 C. Other have been designed to perform better in wet applications to allow only minimal wafer contact with increased fluid draining.

Pedestal

Pedestal are used to block heat in vertical furnaces. They are also known as baffles in horizontal furnaces. They come in many different shapes, here you see just a simple SVG pedestal which is called an open style. They also can be closed and filled with quartz wool, very much depending on what you like to achieve in your production process. We use exclusively Tosoh OP-1 and OP-3 as well as OM100 made by Heraeus. These materials have proven to enhance the ability to keep the heat away from the sealing points of your furnace tubes.

Threaded Fittings

We developed processes to manufacture about any thread in Pyrex or in quartz. Here you see threaded fittings. Some of these are used in wet chemistry. Attached to quartz tanks to bridge a connection from quartz to Teflon. Some are more complex and have multiple sealing surfaces to ensure safety to the highest degree. These fitting are also being used for complex processing equipment were typically flanges are used to make connections to Teflon tubes. They are very user friendly and don’t require any tools to connect or disconnect them, keeping injuries and broken parts to a minimum.

Vertical Wafer Carriers (Ladder)

As wafer grew in size so did the carriers, here you see a 300 mm carrier. These are loaded with a robotic arm and are made to the highest standard to ensure flawless operation. For many years’ wafers were made in horizontal furnaces. As the size grew it was not practical and new technologies was invented, most vertical manufacturing lines are completely automated and only require very little human input. Typically sizes of wafer boats are 150mm 200mm and 300mm, with 400mm most likely not too far away. These are highly customizable, and we can build them to any specification our customer’s desire.

Light pipes and view ports can be made to suit your process. If it’s a sight glass or a sensor fitting, we can make them better. From highly polished lambda 10 finish all the way to commercial polish. If you need it clear or need a certain transmission value, we can help you to decide what material would serve you best.

Distillers and Extractors

We have a long-standing history of glass blowing and our glass blowers have the skill to make what is almost a lost art. It is hard to imaging but this vessel was built solely from tubes. It was skill fully assembled has magnetic switches to control the flow of the chemicals. It is also vacuum jacketed to keep the heat inside. Our design engineers can help making drawing and designing the glass you need, all with a proven design process.

Over the years we have developed many different methods to manipulate quartz and glass. Precision drilling with ultrasound or diamond drills. Shapes are endless, we use specialty wheels to achieve the cut profile you’re looking for.

Chambers / Tanks

Tanks and chambers are built out of cut quartz plate, welded to your spec. We refurbish chambers to get the extra mile out of them, saving our customers money.
